The issues have kicked off multiple forum posts from users who are all reporting the same experience after having downloaded the update. During gameplay, users have reported combat that looks choppy and framerate drops when exploring outdoor zones even when nothing is happening on screen.
According to reports, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are now seeing all sorts of performance based problems including input lag, framerate stutters, and even crashes once the installation finishes.
Unfortunately for players, this patchm which officially kicked off season 5 for leaderboard players, also brought with it a rash of performance issues for all users. The biggest aspect to this update is a brand new zone called Greyhollow Island, a gloomy and dark stretch of land off the coast of Westmarch that contains a number of new enemies to bring down including a faction known as the Coven. Over on Reddit, user TheMorals has recieved over 21,000 upvotes on their post listing some of the recent nerfs, saying: "It is not like this game was lightning fast to begin with, but now it is a proper slog." While the Sorcerer class looks to have been hit the hardest, all classes are feeling the sting of the latest update, which sees a reduction to critical strike and vulnerable damage, as well as the experience you gain from killing higher-level enemies. However, it's the widespread nerfs that have grabbed the community's attention the most, with many players believing that progression has been slowed due to the new changes.
